What is the Teacher's Energy Resource Center?
The Teacher's Energy Resource Center is a service of Hawaii Electric Light Company that provides Hawaii Island school teachers with free and effective electricity-related videos and literature.
Videos include "Powering the Big Island," Discovery Schools' "Understanding: Electricity," and the Bill Nye the Science Guy series. Videos are loaned, free of charge, for a duration of two weeks.
Resource materials include activity books and booklets on electrical safety, conservation, renewable energy, and electricity generation. Resource materials are provided free of charge to teachers and educators.
