Maui Electric debuts new Akaku television series on March 7

KAHULUI, March 2, 2017 - Maui Electric is launching a new monthly television series, Let's Talk Energy, on Akaku channel 55, on Tuesday, March 7, from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Focusing on all things energy-related in Maui County, the series will cover everything from electricity basics and electrical safety to discussions on powering Maui, Molokai and Lanai today and into the future. Viewers are invited to email with energy-related questions or suggested energy topics to possibly be featured in future episodes. New half-hour episodes will air the first Tuesday of every month at 8 p.m., and repeat in the Tuesday timeslot for the entire month.

The March 7 episode will focus on the company's proposed clean energy plans, low-income energy assistance programs, as well as overhead and downed line electrical safety.
